Wednesday, for the 13th year in a row, the Harmon Brewery and Eatery will host its annual "Pray for Snow" party. The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. and promise to feature a toboggan full of live music, tons of ski- and snowboard-related prizes and giveaways, plenty of drinking and even more praying for the white stuff to fall from the sky this season. Will it work? Does it ever work in Washington? That's not really the point.

PREDICTION: God will drop what he's doing (playing Xbox) and immediately proceed to dump the biggest load of snow on the Pacific Northwest this region's rain-skiers have ever seen. It'll be awesome - if you're a skier or snowboarder. If you're not, well, you know who to blame ... God.
