OCTOBERFEST

The Weekly Volcano would travel to the ends of the earth for a savory helping of local craft brews and soft pretzels, but thankfully we just need to go as far as Tacoma's Opera Alley. Octoberfest Tacoma will feature local craft beer, pretzels, pie eating contest, chainsaw pumpkin carving and more from 2-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at Seventh and Opera Alley in downtown Tacoma. There'll be more stuff but we drank too much bier, we mean beer, before we wrote this.

BEER TASTING

ENDLESS SUSHI ROLL

TWOKOI Japanese Restaurant (1552 Commerce St., Tacoma) offers an awesome weekday lunch deal for those you dig sushi rolls. For $19 you may chow down as many rolls as you can at the sushi bar from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday. Go for it.

MONDAY NIGHTS

Drop by The Hub (203 Tacoma Ave. S., Tacoma) and blurt out "Hub Hook Up," and the restaurant will hook you up with $2 Harmon Brewery pints and 25 percent off all regular priced food.
